About

Hi, I'm Allison.

Studio D is my kitchen in Chautauqua County, New York, and it's also the two or three people who show up with me on the day and make it look easy. I'm the one you'll talk to from the first call to the last plate. I plan the menu with you, I cook it, and when the phone rings, it's me who picks up.

Ask Allisonabout 150 words in her own voice: how Studio D started, what she cooked before this, what she makes at home on a Sunday, the dish she's proudest of

  • I cook it myself, every time.
  • I plan it with you, on the phone or over a tasting.
  • One event a day, so yours gets the whole kitchen.

The boring part, in plain words.

These are the same terms you'll see in the agreement, written the way I'd say them across the table. No surprises later.

Holding a date
Tell me the date you have in mind. If it's open, I'll hold it for a month while we figure out the rest, and you won't owe a deposit for that.
Paying
Half to book, the rest the day of the event. Card online, check, or cash, whichever is easiest for you. A card costs what the card company charges me, and you'll see the total before you tap.
Changing your mind
Life happens. Cancel two weeks out or more and you get everything back. Inside two weeks, the deposit stays. Moving the date costs nothing as long as the new one is open.
Headcount
Your final count is due a week before, and I'll check in rather than make you remember. Ask Allisonwhether late additions cost more than the per-person price
Tastings
By appointment, priced per guest, and the best hour of the whole process. The tasting fee is separate from the booking.
Allergies
Tell me once. They go on the kitchen sheet with the guest's name next to them, and every sheet the crew carries that day says the same thing.
Cancellations made 14 or more days before the event receive a full refund. Cancellations inside 14 days forfeit the deposit. Date changes are accommodated whenever the new date is available, at no charge.

Where we cook

Chautauqua County, New York, and the towns around it. If your venue is a drive, ask. Ask Allisonher town, and how far she'll travel

On the day it's me plus two or three: a manager who runs the room so I can stay on the food, and servers who keep the plates moving and the trays full. Ask Allisontheir names, and a photo of all of us

Ask Allisona line from a real client, with their permission

Ask Allisonwho said it, and the event

Got a date in mind?
